"Fully Sick" in two ways...

Today was "fully sick"! At 2 o'clock in the night we were both awake because Elin was throwing up. Lyn helped to clean up and we tried to sleep again. Then Elin went sick at 3.45 again. After that there was no more throwing up, but Elin was very sick in the morning. She stayed the day in bed to recover. Poor Elin!

While Elin and Lyn stayed at home, Matilda and Kevin went for a bike ride. First to Currumbin and then further to Tugun and to Kirra Beach (the picture), which is an excellent surfing beach. The waves there were great and there were some people out there surfing.

Then we went the same way back and stopped at a beach in Currumbin (far away at the horizon to the right, you can spot "Surfers Paradise").

There Matilda did not want to miss the chance for a swim.

When we come home after the bike ride (30 km), Elin was still feeling very bad, so Matilda and Kevin went to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

We watched an amazing Bird Show with all kind of birds in it, for example this Pelican.

Then we watched some Aussie animals. It was the first time that Matilda saw Echidnas.

We also went to see an Aboriginal Dance Show.

..and the feeding of the Rainbow Lorikeets. That was very cool. You could pay to feed them and then they sat on your hand or your head and ate.

 For dinner we had kangaroo on the BBQ. Both of us tried it (though Elin could only eat a little bit) and it was yummy!

For dessert we had custard apple with "Rise Cream". It was also nice and Elin had a piece of the apple too.

Now we hope for a good night sleep and no more sickness.
